I am an artist working primarily in oil paint and charcoal, with a focus on landscapes and figure drawing. My work is rooted in the Impressionist tradition and draws inspiration from artists such as John Singer Sargent, Arthur Streeton, and the Old Masters. Using direct observation and the alla prima painting method, I seek to capture light, atmosphere, and form with spontaneity and immediacy. My practice is driven by a continual desire to deepen my understanding of drawing and painting while exploring the beauty of the natural world and the human experience.
